Living with suffering and the crucified God: How the Bible re-writes the story of divine violence to help us find our way through the challenges of human experience.
The Centre for the Study of Bible and Violence (CSBV) invites you to attend this workshop, led by Revd Dr Andy Angel.

Revd Dr Andy Angel is an Anglican priest in parish ministry in West Sussex. Before this he taught Biblical Studies in two theological colleges, most recently as the Vice Principal of St John’s College, Nottingham. He has written various books and articles, including three on the subject of God as divine warrior and judge – most recently “Playing with Dragons: Living with suffering and God” (Cascade: 2014) and “The Jesus You Really Never Knew” (Cascade: 2019). He has a passion for unpacking the Bible with people, and outside ministry, he has a passion for cooking and sharing tapas.
Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee. Lunch is included in the ticket price.
